A few of our favorite things…
We love to educate!
We’re passionate about Nature, people experiencing Nature, and using the power of rain to bring Central Ohio habitat back into Central Ohio! We share these passions through speaking engagements, community events, consultations, and mentoring.
We love to talk about:
Turning water problems into water solutions
Turning stormwater into habitat for birds and beneficial insects
Soft landings — making habitat in the shade
How to choose the right native plants for your space
Experiencing Ohio’s rich biodiversity at home
Ohio’s native moths, caterpillars, and butterflies
Green campuses

We love to implement!
It’s fun to see a landscape come to life!
Rainwater catchment systems including rain gardens, contour swales and berms, reverse french drains, dry wells, rain barrels & tanks.
Water management systems - storm drain improvement and erosion control.
Native plant landscapes including soft landings, seasonal wetlands, prairie plantings, foodscaping with native edible plants & fungi.
For clients who want to see their landscape intimately, we invite you to work alongside us!
We love to consult!
…with homeowners! do it yourself-ers! business owners! property managers! urban & community planners!
One of our favorite things to do is to meet you face-to-face, visit your site, and understand your project goals. We can help you assess your ideas and offer our own. Our team will "read the landscape" to observe how water moves and identify opportunities to use it as a resource. We will discuss specific native plants that will be particularly suited to your site and discuss a plan of action.
Why consult?
Erosion concerns
Too much or too little water
Creating habitat for pollinators, beneficial insects, and migrating songbirds
Alternatives to herbicide and pesticide use
Lawn reduction
Create or reduce shade
Invasive plant removal and replacing them with natives
We love to mentor + edit!
We want to see your native landscape thrive!
All landscapes need some maintenance. Let’s do it together!
For those who want to learn, we can partner you with a Catch The Water garden buddy to help you manage and understand your landscape.
We offer optional seasonal maintenance after implementation. For most sites, we visit 4-6 times a year.
We can help you “edit” and improve your landscape over time.
